Flank Steak in Mushroom Sauce

Recipe Introduction
The whole family likes this! We omit the wine & mushrooms and I don't thicken the sauce & we still like it! Be sure to let the meat "rest" for at 10 min. after you remove it from crock pot for easier slicing.
List of Ingredients
1 (1 to 1 1/2 lb.) flank steak
1/4 C. sauterne wine (optional - I omit)
1 T. soy sauce
1 clove garlic, mined (I use minced garlic from a jar)
1 (101/2-oz.) can beef broth
1 T. catsup
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1 T. instant minced onion
2 T. cornstarch 2 T. water
1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced (optional)
Recipe
Place steak in crockpot. Combine sauterne, soy sauce, garlic, broth, catsup, mustard & onion; pour over steak. Cover & cook on low 6 - 8 hrs. Dissolve cornstarch in water; stir into pot. Add mushrooms. Turn control to high; cover & cook on high 20-30 minutes or until mushrooms are done. Makes 4-5 servings.
