This is the easiest way to prepare and serve several individual portions.
Yield: 4 servings
List of Ingredients
butter
4 large eggs
salt & pepper to taste
1/4 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half) Recipe
Preheat oven to 325°.
Grease 4 (6-oz) custard cups heavily with butter.
Dlip 1 egg into each custard cup. Sprinkle each egg with salt & pepper. Spoon 1 tablespoon cream over each egg.
Bake eggs, uncovered, at 325 degrees for 15 minutes or until eggs reach desired doneness.
Variation:
Place ramekins in a small baking dish; add hot water to pan to a depth of 1 1/4 inches. Bake at 350° until eggs are set.
