Cream Ground Beef on Toast

Recipe Introduction
Options: Omit milk: after you add the flour, stir in 1 med. can diced tomatoes with juice & 1 small can of tomato sauce. Heat until bubbly.
List of Ingredients
1/2 lb. ground beef (ground chuck for best flavor)
**chopped onion (optional)
1 T. bacon fat (or Crisco or butter)
3 T. flour
2 C. whole milk (add more milk if thinner consistency desired)
1/8 tsp. salt
black pepper to taste
8 slices of dry toast, biscuits, rice,etc.
Recipe
Brown ground beef & onion (if using) in bacon fat in large skillet. remove skillet from heat & mix in the flour. Place pan back on heat & stir in the milk. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil & thickens (at least one minute). Season with salt & pepper to taste. Serve over toast.
