Swedish Meatballs

Makes 6 to 8 servings.
List of Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground lean pork
1/2 cup minced onion
3/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1 tablespoon snipped fresh parsley
2 1/2 teaspoons salt, divided
1/4 teaspoon black pepper, divided
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 large egg
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon paprika
2 cups water
3/4 cup sour cream
Recipe
Thoroughly mix the beef, pork, onion, bread crumbs, parsley, 2 teaspoons salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper, the Worcestershire sauce, egg and milk. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
Shape the mixture by rounded tablespoonfuls into balls. Heat the oil in a large skillet; slowly brown and cook the meatballs. Remove from the skillet and keep warm.
In the same skillet, blend the flour, paprika, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper into the drippings. Cook over low heat, stirring until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.
Remove from the heat and stir in the water. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 1 minute. Reduce the heat and gradually stir in the sour cream, mixing until smooth. Add the meatballs and heat through.
