Makes 4 servings
List of Ingredients
2 T. butter
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1-1/4 cup rich beef broth
2/3 cup water
1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
slivered almonds
Recipe
Brown almonds in 350° oven for a few minutes until light brown. Watch closely or they will burn.
Saute onion in butter. Add broth and water. Bring to a boil.
Place rice in buttered baking dish. Pour hot broth mixture over rice. Cover tightly and bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes. Sprinkle with almonds.
