This can be made several hours or even several days ahead.
List of Ingredients
1 cup Hellman's Mayonnaise
1/2 cup light sour cream
1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. dry white wine
a dash or two of Tabasco sauce
salt & white pepper, to taste
Recipe
Whisk all ingredients together well in a nonreactive container. Keep covered at room temperture for up to an hour, or refrigerate for up to a week. Warm over low heat before serving. Makes 1-1/2 cups.
