Recipe Introduction
This is a sweet, tangy sauce that I have found to be best suited for pork. It is quick and easy and all ingredients are usually in your pantry
List of Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 clove garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup catsup
- 1/4 cup prepared mustard
- 1/2 Tsp onion powder
- 1/2 Tsp dry English mustard
- 1/2 Tsp ground pepper
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp honey
- 1/2 to 1 Tsp liquidsmoke
- 1 1/2 Tbsp cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a med sauce pan.
- Add garlic, saute gently. Do not burn.
- Add brown sugar and melt. bring to simmer and add catsup, mustard, honey.
- Stir and bring to simmer and add wine and liquidsmoke. Stir and bring to simmer.
- Add remaining ingredients, bring to simmer, reduce to desired consistancy.I use this in a squeeze bottle
