    Recipe Introduction


    Ffagodau Cymrieg is 'Welsh Fagot' in english. A great favourite in Wales, as a snack,breakfast or main meal with mushy peas and chips. Can be eaten hot or cold.

    List of Ingredients




    1. 1 kg Steak Rump or Topside
    2. 2 kg Mince May be replaced with additional 2 kg
    steak
    3. 1 kg Liver
    4. 500 g Dry Breadcrumbs
    5. 1 kg Pork or Pork Sausage
    6. 4- 6 Medium Onions
    7. 1 Garlic Bulb: Approx. 12 cloves, or to suit taste
    8. 4 - 6 Oxo (Bullion Cubes)
    9. Dried Mixed Herbs Amount to suit taste
    10. Salt Amount to suit taste
    11. White Pepper Amount to suit taste
    12 Curry Amount to suit taste
    13. Water To moisten Bread Crumbs

    Recipe



    1.Course mince the meats

    2.Fine dice or mince the Onion and Garlic

    3.Mix together meats, Onion, Garlic and Bread Crumbs

    4.Mix remainder of ingredients together, then mix into meat mixture

    5.Add enough water to moisten mixture, but not make it wet

    6.Roll into balls approx 5 cm across

    7.Place in lightly greased oven trays

    8.Bake at 180 degrees for 30 – 40 mins., or until cooked

    9.Serve with chips and mushy peas

    May be frozen before or after cooking
