List of Ingredients
- 2 cups self raising flour
- 1/2 salt
- 1/2 cup sultanas
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 cup wholemeal self raising flour
- 2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 3/4 cup chopped dried apricots
- 2 tbs skim milk powder
- 2 tsp castor sugar
- 2 tbs chopped almonds + extra for sprinkling
Instructions
- Combine dry ingredients
- Mix in buttermilk to form a stiff batter. Pour into 27 x 8cm buttered loaf tin.
- Bake at 180C for 50 minutes. Turn out on a wire rack.
Final Comments
Delicious fresh or toasted with butter
