    List of Ingredients


    • 2 pears, peeled
    • 1 lge banana mashed
    • 1 tsp bicarb soda
    • 125g butter
    • 2/3 cup caster sugar
    • 1-2 tbs milk
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 1 1/2 cups self raising flour
    • 1 tsp mixed spice
    • 2 eggs


    Instructions


    1. Line a 20cm round cake tin. Preheat oven to 180C. Cube one of the pears and slice the second.
    2. Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and both eggs. Stir in banana and the cubed pear.
    3. Sift bicarb soda, flour and spice. Add half to fruit mix and stir. Add milk and stir again. Add rest of flour. Mix well.
    4. Pour into prepared tin. Decorate around top with sliced pear. Bake 1 hour or until done. Sprinkle with cinnamon (optional) to serve.


    Final Comments


    You coulduse raspberry or rhubarb instead of pear if you like
