Recipe Introduction
some uses - finely crush and add to chantilly cream (vanilla flavoured whipped cream. Serve with desserts or as a cake filling
-lightly crush and use to decorate chocolate truffles
-use pieces as a garnish on mousses or parfaits
-break up and wrap in an interesting container as a quick gift idea.
-just eat it while watching tv or out for a late night drive (of course)
List of Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup unsalted peanuts (can use any unsalted nuts really)
Instructions
- Place sugar and water in saucepan and allow to simmer without stirring
- Keep watch for syrup to change colour. Allow it to turn a light golden colour.
- Rewmove from heat and toss epanuts through it.
- Pour into a lightly greased tray and cool. Take care, toffee will be very very hot.
- when cold break into bite sized pieces and serve.
