this is a very easy recipe that looks more impressive than it is. You can drizzle with passionfruit or topping, or garnish with mint sprigs if you like (I didn't)





List of Ingredients



• 4 belgian waffles
  
• 1 tub thick premium vanilla custard (when I am not lazy i make my own custard)
  
• 1 punnet strawberries
  
• 2 tsp drinking chocolate (a good one, not one that is all cornflour in my opinion or use icing sugar if u dont want it brown)
  






Instructions



1. Toast waffles (literarily in the toaster). Place 1 waffle on each of 2 plates.
   
2. Slice strawberries and divide a half of them arranging over waffles.
   
3. Spoon half the custard over strawberries.
   
4. Repeat the layers - waffle, strawberries, custard
   
5. Sprinkle with hot chocolate (through a tea strainer) and serve immediately.
   






Final Comments


sometimes I soak the strawberries in something to give them extra flavour (see my recipe Sophisticated Strawberries if you like).

Also try with mango, peach, kiwifruit, blueberries, pear or with the strawberries but with orange segments on the side
