    Chinese Cabbage with Barbequed Chicken

    Recipe Introduction


    I add carrots, broccoli or bean sprouts at times to make it more vegie rich. Serves 4


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 medium Chinese cabbage (wombok)
    • 2 tsp oil
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
    • 2 spring onions, chopped
    • 500g cooked bbq chook (1 medium one)
    • 1 tsp cornflour
    • 1/4 cup water
    • 1 tbs fish or oyster sauce (half each is good)
    • 1 tbs soy sauce
    • 1 onion, chopped


    Instructions


    1. Shred Chinese cabbage. Heat oil in wok. Add crushed garlic, ginger, shallots and onion. Stirfry 2 minutes.
    2. Add cabbage and keep stirfrying a further 1 minute.
    3. Add chicken. add blend of cornflour, water and sauces. Stirfry 1-2 minutes until mixture boils.


    Final Comments


    sometimes I use thick rice noodles (kway teo noodles) in this with a touch more sauce to make a one wok meal.
