Latticed Mozzarella Veal

List of Ingredients
- 1/2 bunch fresh spinach leaves (washed)
- 50g butter
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 4 large veal steaks (can use chicken)
- 440g can peeled tomatoes, drained and chopped (can use just puree)
- 1 tbs tomato paste
- 4 slices mozzarella, cut into strips
Instructions
- Place spinach in a frypan with 2 tbs water and steam with the lid on for 5 minutes. Drain and cool.
- Melt butter in frypan and brown steaks on both sides. Add tomatoes, paste and wine into the pan around the steaks. Simmer covered 10 minutes.
- Top each steak with spinach, tomato sauce and lattice over some strips of cheese.
- Simeer covered until melted.
Final Comments
Serve with mashed potato or macaroni cheese and steamed broccoli and yellow squash.
