Vegetarian Pasta with Peas

Recipe Introduction
Serves 4
This one is inexpensive and has vitamins. If u hate peas try cooked carrots or beans, frozen corn or cauliflower or shredded spinach or silverbeet, sliced mushrooms. Vegies are healthy.
List of Ingredients
- 1 can diced tomatoes (400g)
- 250g can stir through pasta sauce (they said leggos sundried tomato and roast garlic)
- 250g frozen peas
- 500g spaghetti
- 100g shredded parmesan cheese (optional)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 brown onion, chopped
- oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in saucepan, add in the onion and let it fry a bit until it smells nice. Add chopped tomatoes and sauce.
- Heat some salted water, and when it is boiling add peas in and boil for 2 minutes. Drain out the water (use a sieve or colander.)
- Add peas into sauce. Season to taste (ie taste it and add salt or pepper if you like)
- Read instructions on spaghetti pack and use them to cook spaghetti. Strain and toss through sauce (turn off heat at this point).
- Serve topped with shaved parmesan (yes you can use the powdered stuff but it might be less nice.
Final Comments
Yes if you have ham or chicken in the fridge you can add it but this recipe as it stands is vegetarian friendly
