Fried Spare Ribs

List of Ingredients
- 400g spare ribs
- 3 sectioned spring onions
- 1 tbs dried shallot (finely chopped)
- 1/2 diced red chilli
- 6 tbs corn starch
- 4 tbsp hoisin sauce + 1 tsp
- 1/4tsp salt
- 1/2 beaten egg (double recipe or use rest for another recipe)
- 2 tbs water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2tbs white vinegar
Instructions
- Make seasoning mix from half the hoisin, 4 tbs corn starch, salt and egg.
- Cut spare ribs into rectangular pieces and marinate in seasoning mix about 30 minutes
- Mix marinated spare ribs with 2 more tbs corn starch. Deep fry in hot oil until cooked. Drain well.
- Saute red chilli, dried shallot and spring onion with 2 tbs oil. Stir well with all ingredients and serve.
