    List of Ingredients


    • 400g spare ribs
    • 3 sectioned spring onions
    • 1 tbs dried shallot (finely chopped)
    • 1/2 diced red chilli
    • 6 tbs corn starch
    • 4 tbsp hoisin sauce + 1 tsp
    • 1/4tsp salt
    • 1/2 beaten egg (double recipe or use rest for another recipe)
    • 2 tbs water
    • 1 tbsp sugar
    • 2tbs white vinegar


    Instructions


    1. Make seasoning mix from half the hoisin, 4 tbs corn starch, salt and egg.
    2. Cut spare ribs into rectangular pieces and marinate in seasoning mix about 30 minutes
    3. Mix marinated spare ribs with 2 more tbs corn starch. Deep fry in hot oil until cooked. Drain well.
    4. Saute red chilli, dried shallot and spring onion with 2 tbs oil. Stir well with all ingredients and serve.
