    Kotletes (Rissoles)

    Recipe Introduction


    These rissoles can be served with mashed potato and vegetables or piled onto a crusty roll with all the accompaniments that make a good hamburger.


    List of Ingredients


    • 500g minced beef or kangaroo
    • finely chopped parsley (optional)
    • finely chopped onion (preferably white)
    • 1 egg
    • garlic (at least 2 cloves)
    • grated ginger (optional)
    • soy sauce to taste (3tbsp is a good guess)
    • honey or brown sugar to taste (try 3 tbsp)
    • pepper and nutmeg ( a sprinkle each)
    • sour cream


    Instructions


    1. Mix all ingredients together.
    2. a good guide for how much sour cream to add is add it in last to make the mixture very moist and stick together.
    3. Form into patties (use a spoon or hands) and roll in flour or breadcrumbs.
    4. Fry both sides in a pan until brown and cooked through.


    Final Comments


    These are good hot of course but they are still fine cold the next day at school or as a picnic food.
