Fettucine with Crab

Recipe Introduction
I served this with a sidedish of blanched carrots and broccoli with a lime butter (butter, lime zest, lime juice). It seemed to work together.
When I can't get crab I use anchovies and olives for a slightly different flavour.
List of Ingredients
- home-made fettucine (enough for about 2 people)
- 3 cloves garlic
- 10 medium mushrooms
- 2 tbs capers
- olive oil
- 3/4 cup white wine
- 250g tomato puree
- 125g cream (or to taste)
- 200g crab meat
- pepper
- chilli flakes
Instructions
- Heat oil. On low heat fry garlic and mushrooms gently for about 2 minutes.
- Turn up heat and add wine. Let most of the wine boil off. Add pepper and chilli to taste.
- Pour in tomato puree.
- Cook pasta (not too long)
- As pasta is cooking add capers and crab to sauce. Mix through, turn off heat and add cream (add enough cream to get an attractive pink flavour)
- Drain pasta, toss through sauce. Serve with grated parmesan for those who want it (not me)
