List of Ingredients
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 8 garlic cloves, minced
- salt and pepper
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp chopped basil
- 800g (2 cans) tomatoes in juice
- 2 tuna steaks
- pinch hot chilli powder
- 500g penne pasta
Instructions
- Heat oil, saute 4 garlic (ie half of it) and onions for a few minutes. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper and basil. Stir. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes
- Stir every now and then to prevent sticking. Add water if it's too dry. Once it's cooked set aside and heat oil in a large wok.
- Cook other half of garlic for 2 min (I reckon even less). Add tuna and cook it 3 min each side. Flake with a fork. Add to the sauce with chilli.
- Cook 5 minutes on medium to combine flavours. Toss through pasta.

Serve with salad and crusty bread
