    List of Ingredients


    • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
    • 2 tbsp tomato paste
    • 8 garlic cloves, minced
    • salt and pepper
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 2 tbsp chopped basil
    • 800g (2 cans) tomatoes in juice
    • 2 tuna steaks
    • pinch hot chilli powder
    • 500g penne pasta


    Instructions


    1. Heat oil, saute 4 garlic (ie half of it) and onions for a few minutes. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper and basil. Stir. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes
    2. Stir every now and then to prevent sticking. Add water if it's too dry. Once it's cooked set aside and heat oil in a large wok.
    3. Cook other half of garlic for 2 min (I reckon even less). Add tuna and cook it 3 min each side. Flake with a fork. Add to the sauce with chilli.
    4. Cook 5 minutes on medium to combine flavours. Toss through pasta.


    Final Comments


    Serve with salad and crusty bread
