    List of Ingredients


    • 20g butter
    • 500g butternut pumpkin peeled and chopped
    • 1 cup milk
    • 4 rashers chopped bacon
    • 250g Edam or Cheddar cheese grated
    • 1 chopped onion
    • 2 cups water


    Instructions


    1. Melt butter in saucepan. Saute bacon, onion and pumpkin for about 5 min.
    2. Add water and simmer covered for 15 minutes or until soft. Puree or mash.
    3. Add milk and half the cheese. Reheat without boiling. When serving, sprinkle with remaining cheese.
