    Wok Fried Mushrooms with honey and soy

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 tbs sesame seeds
    • 400g button mushrooms, trimmed
    • 1 tbs peanut oil
    • 200g swiss brown mushrooms, trimmed
    • 1 tbs oyster sauce (can use vegetarian sauce instead)
    • 2 tbs soy sauce
    • 1 tbs honey
    • 6 green shallots, thinly sliced
    • 1 small red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped


    Instructions


    1. Heat wok over high heat. Add sesame seeds and cook, stirring constantly for 2-3 minutes or until golden.
    2. Remove and set aside. add oil, mushrooms to wok and stirfry 1 minute until well coated in oil.
    3. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey and stirfry 2 min until mushrooms just tender.
    4. Add shallots, chilli and sesame seeds and stir fry one minute. Serve immediately.


    Final Comments


    This makes a great topping for a beef steak. Alternatively serve over rice or pasta with some dressed salad greens on the side.
