List of Ingredients
- 1 kg Coliban potatoes, sliced lengthwise with the skin on (use a mandolin if you have one)
- 2 cups tomato pasta sauce
- 250g ricotta cheese
- 1 cup white sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 tbs chopped fresh basil
- salad to accompany
Instructions
- Place a thin layer of tomato sauce over the base of a small alsagne dish. Top with a layer of potato slices.
- Combine ricotta with white sauce and spread half of this over the potatoes. Sprinkle with chopped herbs and season to taste.
- Top with more potatoes, tomato sauce, white sauce, herbs and seasoning.
- To finish, over with potatoslices and white sauce. Finish with grated cheese.
- Bake 180C 30-40 minutes or until the potatoes feel tender and the top is a good brown colour.
- Serve with a tossed salad
