    1/2 cup white sugar
    3/4 -1 cup mayonnaise

    1 tablespoon of "pickle liquid" I prefer dill
    pickle
    liquid straight from the pickle jar (this idea was was passed down to
    my
    sister from her mother-in-law)

    3 medium carrots, shredded
    1 medium head cabbage, cored and finely shredded

    Recipe







    1 In a large bowl, stir together the sugar, mayonnaise
    and
    pickle juice. Add the carrots and cabbage, and mix until well coated.
    Serve
    chilled.

    *** The pickle juice is used to thin the mayonnaise and it also adds
    a
    nice tartness which compliments the sweetness of the sugar.
