Recipe Introduction
A must have for garlic fingers, donairs and well, anyone from Halifax honestly.
List of Ingredients
- 2/3 cup canned milk (evaporated is best)
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Stir canned milk, sugar and garlic together until sugar and garlic is disolved.
- Add vinegar and continue mixing. The quikcer you add the vinegar and the less you mix, the thicker the sauce is.
- Let sauce sit in the fridge for about an hour before using.
- If the mixture seperates, don't worry. There is no need to remix it, it will taste fine.
- The sauce can be made in larger batches. Also it freezes well. On the other hand, it also lasts unnaturally long in the frigde, 3 weeks easily.
