- Open Pan Method
- generous 1 cup Thai jasmine rice
- 4 cups water
- Absorption Method
- generous 1 cup thai jasmine rice
- scant 2 cups water
Instructions
- Rinse the rice in a strainer under cold running water and leave to draiin.
- Bring water to a boil. Add the rice, stir and return to a medium boil. Cook uncovered for 8-10 minutes.
- Drain and fork thoroughly.

- Put the rice and water into a pan and bring to a boil. Stir once and then cover the pan tightly. Lower the heat as much as possible, Cook for 10 minutes. Leave to rest for 5 minutes.
- Fork rice through lightly and serve immediately
Final Comments
A final thought about freezing left over rice. its a good idea. Do it in an air tight plastic container. This will also seperate the rice grains, a great touch for stir fries.
