    When ever we have a large family gathering you'll always find a large bowl of this salad.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 box Acini de pepe macaroni
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 3 whole eggs
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 20 oz crushed pineapple
    • 16 oz pineapple tidbits, drained, save the juice
    • 2 small cans mandarin oranges
    • 1 jar marachino cherries, cut in half
    • 1 bag mini marshmallows
    • lg. cool whip


    Instructions


    1. Boil macaroni for 8 minutes. Drain, rinse, and cool.
    2. Mix the pineapple juice with enough water to make 1 3/4 cups.
    3. Put juice/water, sugar, eggs and salt in a large pan. Bring to a boil. Cool.
    4. In a very large bowl combine the crushed pineapple, the pineapple tidbits, mandarin oranges, and the cherries with the macaroni.
    5. Mix the bag of marshmallow with the syrup and stir into the salad.
    6. Add 1/2 the container of the cool whip.

    7. Let set overnight in the refrigerator.
    8. Add the remaining cool whip just before serving.
