Acini De Pepe Salad

Recipe Introduction
When ever we have a large family gathering you'll always find a large bowl of this salad.
List of Ingredients
- 1 box Acini de pepe macaroni
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 whole eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 20 oz crushed pineapple
- 16 oz pineapple tidbits, drained, save the juice
- 2 small cans mandarin oranges
- 1 jar marachino cherries, cut in half
- 1 bag mini marshmallows
- lg. cool whip
Instructions
- Boil macaroni for 8 minutes. Drain, rinse, and cool.
- Mix the pineapple juice with enough water to make 1 3/4 cups.
- Put juice/water, sugar, eggs and salt in a large pan. Bring to a boil. Cool.
- In a very large bowl combine the crushed pineapple, the pineapple tidbits, mandarin oranges, and the cherries with the macaroni.
- Mix the bag of marshmallow with the syrup and stir into the salad.
- Add 1/2 the container of the cool whip.
- Let set overnight in the refrigerator.
- Add the remaining cool whip just before serving.
