    Try lemon cake mix and blueberry pie filling, yellow cake mix and peach pie filling, or chocolate cake mix and cherry pie filling.

    List of Ingredients




    1 pkg. spice cake mix
    1 can apple pie filling
    3 eggs (or egg beaters)
    3/4 C fat-free sour cream
    1/4 C water
    2 T canola oil
    1 t almond extract
    2 T brown sugar
    1 1/2 t ground cinnamon
    GLAZE:
    2/3 C powdered sugar
    2 t fat-free milk

    Recipe



    Set aside 1 T cake mix. Set aside 1 1/2 C pie filling. In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, sour cream, water, oil, extract and reamaining cake mix and pie filling. Beat on medium speed for 2 inutes. Pour half into a 10 inch fluted tube pan coated with nonstick cooking spray.

    Combine the brown sugar, cinnamon and reserved cake mix; sprinkle over batter. Spoon reserved pie filling over batter to within 3/4 inch of edges; top with remaining batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before reoving from pan to a wire rack.

    In a small bowl, combine glaze ingredients. Drizzle over cooled cake. Yield: 14 servings.
