This recipe is made by Dianna, and she usually serves this during Thanksgiving and or Christmas. Great pie, and even better served cold.
List of Ingredients
Crumb Topping
6 Tbsps. Butter
6 Tbsp. Brown sugar
¾ c. flour
Cut butter in with pasty blender
Apple Pie:
6 cups apples
Filling:
1 1/8 c. sugar
5 Tbsps cornstarch
¾ tsp. cinnamon
Few drops of cinnamon oil
1/8 tsp. mace
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp lemon juice
¾ tsp rose water
¾ c. water
3 Tbsps butter
1 tsp. vanilla
¾ Tbsp. butterscotch schnapps
Recipe
Cook apples in ¾ c water and ¼ c. sugar until slices soften and start to change color.
Bake in next to bottom shelf for 10 minutes @ 425 degrees. Then 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
