Helen (Wright) Boggs always made this treat for the Boggs cousins. It was a favorite dessert at all the picnics.
List of Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups Kellogg�s Rice krispies
6-oz. package Nestle�s semi-sweet chocolate morsels
6-oz. package Nestle�s butterscotch morselsRecipe
Boil 1 cup sugar and 1 cup light corn syrup in a 3 quart pan. Remove from heat. Blend in 1 cup peanut butter. Then add 6 cups Kellogg�s Rice krispies. Press into a buttered 13 x 9 inch pan.
Melt over hot (not boiling) water one 6-oz. package each of Nestle�s semi-sweet chocolate morsels and Nestle�s butterscotch morsels. Spread this mixture over the top of the Rice Krispies and chill for five minutes or until the top is firm. Cut into 48 2-inch by 1-inch bars.
