Recipe Introduction
I think the secret to this fast and easy dish is the white wine. Everything tastes better with white wine in it!
List of Ingredients
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of chicken or cream of chicken soup
¼ cup white wine
¾ cup water
¾ cup uncooked regular white rice
Salt
Pepper
Cajun spice
3-4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Recipe
In a sauce pan, sauté chicken in 3 Tbsps. Butter and1/3 cup white wine until chicken is browned on both sides. Season the chicken with salt, pepper. You may add minced garlic and sage, or spices of choice to the sauté mixture.
In another bowl combine the soup, water, white wine, spices (to taste) and rice. Add the drippings from the sauté chicken and stir until blended.
Place the chicken into a greased shallow baking dish. Pour rice mixture over chicken. Cover with foil, and bake at 375 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
