    THE MAMA'S COOK BOOK - Mrs. David Cato

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup butter
    2 cup sweet milk
    3 cup sugar
    4 large eggs
    5 cup plain flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. lemon flavoring

    Recipe



    Cream butter and add egg yolks. Sift flour, sugar and baking powder together. Add to butter and egg mixture, alternating with milk. Add flavoring. Whip egg whites until stiff. Fold in carefully. Pour in tube pan and bake 1 1/2 hours at 350. When done, cool and ice with seven minute icing.
