2 cups cake flour (sifted)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 cups butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs, separated
2 squartes melted chocolate
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 tsp. saltRecipe
Sift four, soda and salt together, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla and beaten egg yolks. Beat thoroughly. Stir in Chocolate. Add sifted dry ingredients and milk alternately. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into layer pans and cook 30 to 35 minutes.
