    THE MAMA'S COOK BOOK - Boots Walden Entzminger

    Recipe Introduction


    The MAMA'S COOK BOOK was prepared by the Pre-School Group of the Louisville (Georgia) Parent Teacher Association many years ago when most women knew the ins and outs of cooking. Therefore part of the directions are sometimes left out.

    I suggest using the directions for mixing and baking from Nut Cake - 1.

    List of Ingredients




    4 eggs, beat well
    1 1/2 cup sugar, mix good
    1 pkg. dates (9 ounces)
    1 lb. nuts, mix good with first mixture
    1 cup flour
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Mix good before adding:

    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 cup raisins
