    THE MAMA'S COOK BOOK - Mrs. L. Brewton

    Recipe Introduction


    The MAMA'S COOK BOOK was prepared by the Pre-School Group of the Louisville (Georgia) Parent Teacher Association many years ago when most women knew the ins and outs of cooking. Therefore part of the directions are sometimes left out.

    List of Ingredients




    4 eggs
    1 cup sugar
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    1 cup flour (Plain)

    Recipe



    Beat whites stiff, add half sugar and beat again. Beat yolks with remaining half sugar for 5 minutes. Then add to whites and beat. Stir in flour a bit at a time. Bake in loaf or in two layers. Use jelly in between.

    Bake 300 Degrees about 40 minutes for loaf.
