The MAMA'S COOK BOOK was prepared by the Pre-School Group of the Louisville (Georgia) Parent Teacher Association many years ago when most women knew the ins and outs of cooking. Therefore part of the directions are sometimes left out.



List of Ingredients




1 pkg. dates
3 cps sugar
1 cup pecans
1 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick of butter

Recipe



Cook dates, sugar and milk until forms a soft ball when tested in cold water. Take off fire and add vanilla, butter and nuts. Then beat until firm. Roll out on wet cloth dipped in cold water. When hardened cut in squaares.
