Chocolate Fiber and Protein Cookies

My variation of Thyroid-boosting Cookies from Woman's World 4/30/02
Recipe Introduction
Suggested use by a Dr Siegal: eat nothing but 6 cookies during the day and follow with a evening meal of 6 oz of lean meat, poultry or fish with 2-3 cups of non-starchy vegetables. Drink lots of water.
Sounds extreme to me but I did find the cookies very filling and plan to bake more and use for breaks at work.
List of Ingredients
2 1/4 C(before grinding) multi-bran Chex ground in blender
1 C old-fashioned oatmeal
3/4 C instant fat free dry milk
2/3 C toasted wheat germ
1/4 C unprocessed wheat germ
1/4 C unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp iodized table salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 large ripe banana, mashed
4 T salted butter at room temperature
1/2 C sugar or Splenda or 1/3 C frustose
5 eggs or 2 eggs and 7 egg whites
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 C chocolate chunks
1/2 C Macadamia nuts
Recipe
Mix first 9 ingredients.
In another bowl, blend banana,butter and sugar until smooth.
Add eggs, and vanilla and blend until even.
Mix 2 mixtures. Add Chocolate chunks and nuts.
Let set for at least five minutes to thicken or refrigerate.
Divide in 4 parts and make 6 cookies of each part. Drop batter unto non stick, parchment paper lined or sprayed cookie sheet. Flatten. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.
