    OLD-FASHIONED CREAM PIE
    Wednesday, November 14, 2001
    1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

    1 cup sugar

    4 tablespoons flour

    1 cup whole milk

1 cup whipping cream (don't whip)

    Yield: 1 (9-inch) pie; 8 servings

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Mix sugar and flour together thoroughly. Spread evenly in the bottom of an unbaked pie shell. Mix milk and cream together; pour over sugar mixture very slowly. Bake for 2 hours. Cool on rack. Refrigerate if not serving immediately after cooling. Refrigerate leftovers.

For best results, use an aluminum pie pan (it can be disposable). Do not use a glass pie plate.
