    Recipe Introduction


    This is wonderful, easy bread that only takes a few minutes and a few basic ingredients to make.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups warm water
    • 1-2 tsp brown sugar
    • 1 1/2 T active dry yeast
    • 1 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
    • 6 cups flour (white/whole wheat or both)


    Instructions


    1. In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water, add yeast. Allow to proof until yeast resembles creamy foam.
    2. Mix salt and oil into the yeast. Add flour one cup at a time until dough pulls away from sides of bowl and is soft but not sticky.
    3. Place dough in bowl sprayed with non-stick spray. Cover with damp cloth, allow to rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
    4. Turn out onto floured surface, knead lightly and divide into 2 loaves.
    5. Shape the loaves and place in sprayed loaf pans. Allow to rise for about 30 minutes or until an indent stays when bread is touched.
    6. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Remove from pans to cool.
