Caramel Brownies

- 45 individually wrapped caramels
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1 pkg. German Chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans (opt.)
Instructions
- Combine in glass bowl--caramels and 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir until smooth and set aside.
- Combine cake mix, butter, other half of milk, and nuts. Mix until smooth.
- Press half of dough into greased and floured 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 350 for 6-10 minutes.
- Sprinkle chocolate pieces over baked crust. Spread on caramel mixture over chips. Press on remaining dough.
- Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes. Refridgerate to set.
