    • 45 individually wrapped caramels
    • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
    • 1 pkg. German Chocolate cake mix
    • 3/4 cup melted butter
    • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
    • 1 cup chopped pecans (opt.)


    Instructions


    1. Combine in glass bowl--caramels and 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir until smooth and set aside.
    2. Combine cake mix, butter, other half of milk, and nuts. Mix until smooth.
    3. Press half of dough into greased and floured 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 350 for 6-10 minutes.
    4. Sprinkle chocolate pieces over baked crust. Spread on caramel mixture over chips. Press on remaining dough.
    5. Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes. Refridgerate to set.
