CINNAMON APPLES
List of Ingredients
- 6 lg. apples
- 1/2 c. cinnamon heart candy
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. sugar (or more to taste - depending on tartness of apples)
Instructions
- Core and peel apples. Slice about 1/2-3/4 inch thick. Put sliced apples in cast iron or heavy skillet with 1/2 cup water. Cover and cook on low for 15 minutes. Apples will make more juice.
- Add sugar and red hots, stir to mix well and cover until apples are done.
- This is good served either hot or cold. Flavors mingle better with apples if allowed to chill overnight.
