    HEARTY HASHBROWN SOUP


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 lbs frozen hashbrowns
    • 4 cups water
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 3/4 cup sliced celery
    • 4 chicken bouillon cubes
    • 1/2 tsp celery seed
    • 1/4 t pepper
    • 4 cans cream of chicken soup
    • 1 quart of milk
    • 2 cups cooked ham, cubed
    • 1 T dried parsley
    • 1 1/2 tsp garlic salt
    • 8 bacon strips, cooked & crumbled


    Instructions


    1. In soup kettle, combine first 7 ingredients; bring to boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Mash vegetables with cooking liquid.
    2. Add soup and milk; stir until smooth. Add ham, parsley and garlic salt; simmer for 10 minutes or until heated through. Garnish with bacon. Yield: 12 -16 servings.
