    BROCCOLI-CHEESE SOUP by Pat Mayfield

    List of Ingredients

    1 bunch or box fresh or frozen broccoli,chopped
    3/4 cup celery,chopped
    3/4 cup onion,chopped
    Milk, to cover over top
    2 Tablespoons bacon grease
    2 teaspoons garlic powder
    Salt and pepper to taste
    1 large box Velveeta cheese,cubed
    1 bag Success rice, cooked and drained

    Recipe

    Combine chopped broccoli,celery and onion in a large saucepan. Cover with water and cook until tender;drain.
    Add milk to cover over top of vegetables (can add more milk later if needed). Add bacon grease,garlic powder,salt and pepper. Add cubed cheese;stir until melted. Add rice,stir well until blended. If soup is too thick,add more milk until right consistancy. Simmer until well blended.
    Makes 10 servings.
