    3 Eggs separated
    1 (140z can) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
    1/2 cup lime or lemon juice from concentrate
    2 or 3 drops of green food coloring, optional
    1 (9") unbaked pie crust
    1/2 tsp cream of tartar
    1/3 cup sugar

    Preheat oven to 352. With mixer, beat egg yolks in med bowl. Gradually beat in condensed mile, lime or lemon juice, and if desired, food coloring. Pour into pie crust. Bake 30 min. Remove from oven. Raise oven temp to 350. For meringue, beat egg whites & cream of tartar with clean mixer until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in sugar, beat 4 min or untill stiff, glossy peaks form and sugar is dissolved. Immediatly spread meringue over hot pie, sealing to edge of crust to prevent meringue from shrinking. Bake 15 min. Cool 1 hour, chill.
