Better Than Shoney's Strawberry Pie

This is the best strawberry pie i have ever had, very flavorful, great texture. Thx Mrs rita.

List of Ingredients

2c fresh strawberries
1c sugar
1 small pk strawberry jello (sugar free)
1 10 or 12 oz 7up or sprite
4T corn starch
cooked pie shell or graham cracker crust





Recipe

dissolve sugar & cornstarch in minimum amount of 7up. add remaining 7up, cook in mirowave 2 minutes, remove & stir, cook 2 more minutes, remove & stir,repeat until almost stiff, then do for 1 minute at a time.

you can do this in a double boiler, when it becomes stiff enough, add strawberry jello.spread sliced berries in cooked pie shell. pour cooked mix over berries. cool in frigerator till set & firm.serve with cool whip.
