Some recipes specifically call for soft bread crumbs instead of toasted. All you need is a slice of bread and few seconds in your food processor and you're good to go!
Ingredients:
1 slice bread, whole wheat or other
Directions:
Use in any recipe calling for SOFT bread crumbs.
Trim the crust from the bread and tear the bread into pieces. Place the pieces in a food processor and pulse just until coarse crumbs form. You don't want to pulverize it, just chop it up finely. Because the bread is soft and not toasted it can turn into a clump if you over process it.
