    Creole-Spiced Sirloin

    Prep Time: 10 minutes - Cook Time: 10 minutes
    Makes 4 servings.

    Ingredients:
    - 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    - 3/4 teaspoon onion powder
    - 3/4 teaspoon paprika
    - 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
    - 1/2 teaspoon salt
    - 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
    - 3/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
    - 3/8 teaspoon dried oregano
    - 1/4 teaspoon ground bay leaves
    - 1/8 teaspoon chili powder

    - 1-1/2 pounds Laura's Lean Sirloin Steak

    Directions:
    1. Combine first 10 ingredients in a medium bowl.

    2. Rub steaks with seasoning mixture.

    3. Grill, covered with grill lid, over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes on each side or to desired degree of done-ness.


    Cooking Tip: A rub is a blend of seasonings that are applied to the surface of meat before cooking. The good thing about a rub is that it doesn’t have to be applied in advance so it’s the perfect way to get extra flavor when pressed for time. Do keep in mind though that the longer the rub is on the meat, the more pronounced the flavors become.
