    Skillet Apples

    Serves 4; heaping 1/2 cup per serving

    Ingredients:
    1 large Granny Smith apple, cut into 1/2-inch wedges
    1 large Gala, Jonathan, or Red Delicious apple, cut into 1/2-inch wedges
    2 tablespoons firmly packed dark brown sugar
    1 tablespoon light tub margarine

    1. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Immediately reduce the heat to medium. Put all the ingredients in the skillet and stir together.

    2. Cook for 10 minutes, or until just tender, stirring gently and frequently.

    One heaping 1/2 cup serving equals: Calories 94; Total Fat 1.5 g; Cholesterol 0 mg; Sodium 26 mg; Carbohydrates 22 g; Fiber 3 g; Sugars 18 g; Protein 0 g ++++ Dietary Exchanges: 1-1/2 fruit ++++ WWP: 1
