While Carne Asada usually means beef, this marinade works just as well on chicken or pork. If you want to put together a delicious Mexican dish, then this is a great marinade to start with.
Ingredients:
• 1/4 cups/60 mL red wine vinegar
• 2 tablespoons/30 mL olive oil
• 2 tablespoons/30 mL steak sauce
• 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 teaspoon/5 mL fresh sage (1/2 teaspoon/2.5 mL dried sage)
• 1 teaspoon/5 mL fresh savory (1/2 teaspoon/2.5 mL dried savory)
• 1 teaspoon/5 mL sea salt (more if preferred)
• 1/2 teaspoon/2.5 mL dry mustard
• 1/2 teaspoon/2.5 mL paprika
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly. Marinate meats for 4 to 6 hours. Poultry should be marinated for about 2 to 4 hours. Store in an airtight container in a refrigerator for up to 5 days after preparation.
