Total Time: 26 minutes
Yield: Makes 1 Cup of Marinade
A great marinade for pork, particularly pork chops. The sweetness from the brown sugar and saltiness from the soy sauce marries well with the chili sauce.
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup/120 mL low-sodium soy sauce
• 1/4 cup/60 mL sake
• 2 tablespoons/30 mL brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon/15 mL chili sauce
• 1 garlic clove, minced
• 1 teaspoon/5 mL ginger
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients and mix until smooth. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator until ready to use.
Makes about 1 cup or enough for about 6 to 8 pork chops.
Marinating time is between 4-12 hours. Mixture will last up 5 days in refrigerator after initial preparation.
