    Pantry Salad Dressing

    Yield: 3 cups. - 24 servings

    I like this recipe because it's fast to fix, tastes fresh and calls for ingredients I usually have on my pantry shelf.—Priscilla Weaver, Hagerstown, Maryland

    Ingredients:
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 cup ketchup
    • 3/4 cup white vinegar
    • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
    • 1/2 small onion, cut into wedges
    • 1/8 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

    • Torn salad greens

    Directions:
    1. In a blender, combine the first eight ingredients; cover and process until the sugar is dissolved. Serve over salad greens. Store in the refrigerator.

    1 serving (2 tablespoons) equals 103 calories, 7 g fat (1 g saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 170 mg sodium, 11 g carbohydrate, trace fiber, trace protein.
